1. Who we are
DanceSchoolHub is a dance studio management platform operated by DanceSchoolHub Ltd (“we”, “our”, “us”). We act as a data processor for studio data stored in the platform, and as a data controller for our marketing website and direct communications.
2. Information we collect
We collect studio contact details, account information, billing metadata, and product usage analytics necessary to provide and improve the service. Where studios choose to use the platform for pupil management, we process pupil and guardian information on their behalf.
3. How we use information
We use personal data to deliver and maintain the platform, provide customer support, manage subscriptions, prevent misuse, and communicate product updates.
4. Legal bases
We process personal data under the legal bases of contract fulfilment, legitimate interest, and consent (where required for marketing). For UK and EU studios, our processing aligns with GDPR and associated requirements.
5. Sharing & transfers
Data is hosted in UK/EU DigitalOcean data centres using secure, ISO 27001 and SOC 2 audited infrastructure. We only share data with trusted sub-processors required to deliver the service (e.g., payment processing via Stripe, email delivery, analytics). Where data is transferred outside the UK/EU, we use Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or the UK IDTA.
6. Security
We encrypt all data in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256), enforce MFA for staff accounts, and use private networking, firewalls, secure secrets management, automated backups, and continuous monitoring. Stripe handles all payment card information; we do not store card details.
7. Data subject rights
Studio administrators can access, correct, export, or delete the personal data they control within the platform. Individuals wishing to exercise their rights (access, correction, deletion, portability) may contact us at [email protected]
8. Retention
We retain studio data for the duration of the subscription and delete or anonymise it within 60 days of account closure unless a longer period is required by law.
